Jets Sanchez, Jenkins making progress from surgery Posted: 01 Apr 2010 10:43 AM PDT When Mark Sanchez underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in February he gave all Jets fans a little scare. However, it appears he is right on schedule with his rehab.
This is great news for the Jets and this injury may have been a blessing in disguise for the Jets as Sanchez has been spending "innumerable hours" at the team's complex. Sanchez will have to take on more of a leadership role in his second season especially with the departure of Thomas Jones so you have to love that he's been rehabbing and watching film at the complex all off-season. Also this should hope to prevent a sophomore slump, which Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco went through last season. Also Kris Jenkins said his rehab is on schedule and that he'll be "good to go" and even predicted he may be a better player than he was in 2008. The Jets defense was number one overall last year despite missing Jenkins for the majority of the season. Imagine what it could be like this year with Jenkins back to his 2008 form and Sione Pouha, who proved he was more than a backup last year, rotating in and maybe even playing some end. All this talk is getting me excited for the 2010 season and were still five months away. I can't wait! |
Russell Okung set to visit the Redskins Posted: 01 Apr 2010 10:41 AM PDT From his twitter account:
The Redskins had better give him first class treatment, that's all I can say. They can't afford to alienate this prospect. The O-line needs him more than he needs them. |
