Eagles send QB Donovan McNabb to the divisional rival Redskins Posted: 04 Apr 2010 05:52 PM PDT
McNabb, a six-time Pro Bowl quarterback, led the Eagles to five NFC championship games and one Super Bowl in 11 seasons in Philadelphia. His failure to lead the team to its first NFL championship since 1940 plus the emergence of Kevin Kolb made him expendable. Kolb, who has started two games in three seasons, becomes the starter. Michael Vick is the backup. For the Redskins, it means that Jason Campbell gets pushed to a backup role, or maybe the team may think twice about even keeping him on the roster all together. |
