Burger King Zhu Zhu Pets kids meal toys are the latest toy promotion at Burger King. In this global promotion Burger King has teamed up with Cepia to release 16 different Burger King Zhu Zhu Pets hamster toys.

One Zhu Zhu hamster toy is being given away with every BK Kids Meal purchased at Burger King restaurants during December 2010 or can be purchased in the US for $1.80.

Zhu Zhu Pets are cool robotic hamsters that zoom along chirping, squeaking and bouncing off the walls. The Burger King Zhu Zhu Pets promotion includes 16 different hamster characters. The BK versions are about half the size of a Zhu Zhu pet original and only have limited features.

Each toy in the BK Zhu Zhu Pets promo comes with its own accessory - a surfboard, snowboard, hamster wheel or car. There are 4 different Zhu Zhu Pet characters per accessory. Each of the BK ZZP's toys can be detached from its accessory and played with separately. Another fun aspect of the Burger King Zhu Zhu Pets is that there is scope to mix and match some of the hamsters and accessories.

A round up of McDonalds happy meal toys 2010 from Malaysia. I have put together this list of McDonalds Malaysia happy meal toys promotions during 2010 as a reference and handy guide.

McDonalds Shrek Forever After 3D, Megamind, Ben 10 Alien Force and the Powerpuff Girls, Hot Wheels Battleforce 5 and Barbie Mermaid Tale are just some of the highlights of the happy meal toys promoted in Malaysia during 2010.

For North American McDonalds collectors you will recognize many of the sets but will notice some variation in number of happy meal toys per set and their configuration.

Some promotions are cut down sets which have a few less characters than their US counterparts. For instance Hot Wheels Battleforce 5 has only 4 toys while the US set had 6 - Sherman Cortez & Buster Tank and Kalus & Fangore Vehicle having been dropped. The McDonalds Malaysian Megamind set has several different bot toys from the US set. One notable omission is the absence of the Megamind character. There are 7 toys in the Malaysian Megamind set compared to the US McDonalds Megamind complement of 8.

Other McDonalds happy meal toy promotions released in Malaysia may be less familiar to US McDonalds collectors. Sets such as the McDonalds Ben 10 Alien Force and the Powerpuff Girls released in Malaysia in September 2010 were not released in the US at all. This set however is identical to the McDonalds Australia and New Zealand Ben 10 Alien Force and the Powerpuff Girls promotion.

The McDonalds McDigital and Beat Star sets were both happy meal toy promotions in Malaysia that never made it to the US. I understand that Beat Star promotion was also released in the Philippines in September 2010.
