Ochocinco’s Summer Vacation Continues Posted: 14 May 2011 07:43 PM PDT
Chad claimed riding a bull was on his bucket list. He was paid $10,000 to ride a bull tonight and was set to be given $100,000, a Ford F150 and the ability to name the bull if he would stay on for 8 seconds. He lasted 1.5. Love him or hate him, he’s part of the group of aging receivers – with free agents Terrell Owens and Randy Moss, and Panther Steve Smith – that will probably be helping new teams make playoff runs. It stands to be seen if Marvin Lewis – who Ochocinco claimed the bull would be named after if he earned the power – will give him an attractive destination or if he’ll end up in the dirt like tonight. |
49′ers Draft Pick QB Colin Kaepernick Had Lower Leg Surgery Posted: 14 May 2011 01:41 PM PDT
“It’s nothing serious at all,” Kaepernick said in a phone interview. Kaepernick declined to go into details about the injury that led to the procedure, but he said the leg began bothering him toward the end of the 2010 season. Kaepernick played through the injury for the final four games, then went to the Senior Bowl and the scouting combine. It did not seem to affect him. Indeed, Kaepernick’s showing at Senior Bowl practices in late January boosted his draft stock, and he ran a 4.53-second 40-yard dash at the February combine, the second fastest of any quarterback. “For me, going through the end of the season and then on to the Senior Bowl and everything – there wasn’t any time to get it handled,” Kaepernick said. |
Would Albert Haynesworth Be a Good Fit for the Eagles? Posted: 14 May 2011 12:32 PM PDT
"There will be teams that are interested, and one of them could be right up the highway and in the division," Wyche said during his live chat. "Jim Washburn was hired as Philly's defensive line coach and he was the position coach that was able to get the most out of Haynesworth (in Tennessee). We all know that if Haynesworth is motivated, he is a terror, which is why Washington paid him so much.” We doubt there is much behind this story because the last thing Mike Shanahan and Bruce Allen want to see is a motivated Haynesworth play against the Redskins two games a year. The only way this happens is if Haynesworth is outright released. |
All Indications Are Michael Bush Will Be Back in Oakland in 2011 Posted: 14 May 2011 10:34 AM PDT In the coming season the Oakland Raiders 2011 running game should look somewhat similar to last season with the addition of rookie running back Taiwan Jones. Therefore, questions are circulating around Raider Nation if Bush will be back in Silver and Black once the labor agreement is in place. Its still unknown whether the team will make a serious attempt to re-sign him. Head coach, of the Raiders would love to have him resign. Earlier this off-season prior to the lock in place the Raiders assigned first and third-round tender to the free agent-the highest possible tender. Click HERE to read the rest |
